2. Baking Soda

Another great element that can cure the bug bite naturally is Baking Soda. Make a paste of it by mixing baking soda with water and applying it to the bitten area. You can also practice this cure by adding baking soda to the lukewarm water when taking bath. However, avoid it if you have any open cut or wound near the area.

3. Ice Pack

By applying a cooling effect to the bitten area, you in a way make an effort to calm down the itching. So, take some ice, wrap around a light cloth, and place it on the bite.

4. Toothpaste

This is one of the most tried and tested home remedies and is highly effective for bug bites. Take some paste on your fingertip and apply it to the bitten area. You will instantly start feeling relief.

5. Oils

Do you know natural oils like tree tea oil or lavender can do wonders when applied to bug bites? Well! It is true, that these oils disinfect the infection and contain some anti-inflammatory properties that help minimize the swelling and redness.

6. Garlic

7. Mouthwash

Don’t get too shocked. Mouthwash act as an antiseptic in most cases and help keep the area free from infections. Just take a cotton ball and dab some mouthwash on it. Now, place the cotton ball on the bitten area and prevent yourself from the infection.

8. Mud

Mud is a good source to remove itching from the bitten area. All you need to do is get some mud and mix it with water to create a paste. Now, apply the mixture to the bite and let it dry. Wash the area covered with mud a few hours later and eliminate itching.
